About the Project

The Tito Clones were created for my Creature Creation class at Gnomon. "Tito" is a small, amphibian rodent like creature, inspired by the science fiction genre and in particular Star Wars. My vision is that he was experimented on with his clone brothers, similar to lab mice. Released back into the wild, they inhabit swampy marshes in a little pack together.

Concepting the Clones

This project served as an interesting challenge compared to others, as I was tasked with designing and executing my own concept rather than working from one made by an artist. I went through many iterations figuring out the design, with the help of my teachers. I wanted it to walk the line between endearing and strange, similar to creatures like Grogu or E.T.
